deleting auto backup pics

My phone wouldn't accept my pin the other day, after 10 tries it did a factory reset.
After it came back and reinstated everything, there isn't much in my gallery, except for an "auto backup" folder.
I've googled and found how to remove the folder, but I don't want to do that.
I just want to delete individual pictures. Is there anyway to do that?

You can try deleting them from your Google + profile -- That is where photos are usually backed up to.
