deleting BIG SMS threads

I want to delete a few threads. They're both over 1000 entries long. Every time I try the phone ends up freezing. Anyone have an idea how to do this?

I believe if you use handcent or something like that it has a batch mode to delete it takes a long time to let it delete as well Hope this helps

Yeah happened to me, I ended up factory resetting my phone..

why delete? is it getting laggy and you want to free up memory?

I too use handcent and the batch mode. Makes life easier...

it just takes a long time to delete everything... just let it delete for a few minutes and it will work like normal again

I use SMS Quick Delete - Slow if there are thousands of messages, but if you leave it and let it work for a while, it will work.
