Deleting contacts from address book but still showing up when texting?

I deleted some contacts in my address book but when I text, those names that I deleted are still there as an option to select to text to.

How do I permanently them from even showing up when I text?

This is on the A14 5G.

Maybe needs little time forthe system to realize they not contacts , have you tried rebooting the device?

Yes, tried rebooting 2x.

Strange though it still shows up when texting.

Maybe try clearing cache and force stop message app and contact app see if it is still happening?

Not sure how you clear the cache but I did a force stop and that did not do anything.

Long press the app then tap info>storage>clear cache then force stop one more time each app

Switch to Samsung see if those contacts are there ? Then switch back to Google

Just did.

Samsung text app it is not there but Google text app it is.

So it is an issue with the app.
