Deleting Messages :(

So I've had my Droid Incredible since Christmas and it has deleted all of my messages three times since then without me asking it too. I don't have a text message limit set... so I'm not sure why all of my conversations would just randomly delete. I always go back and read through my conversations for various reasons and it kind of makes me mad that they would just randomly disappear. Any comments or suggestions that can help would be greatly appreciated!

Dancer I am sure someone more knowledgeable than I can answer your question.
My wife and I both have the Dinc and she texts about 4 times what I do and she has never had a message dump, mine has done it about every three months since I have had the phone. I have tried to change settings and nothing has helped. I find it annoying because it is easier to go to the text app and click on someone's past message to text them, but I really don't need the info in any of my text messages so I haven't freaked out about it. If you really need the data that is there I would suggest finding a text backup app that can do this for you. My .02

What I would suggest doing since you like reading your old messages, is download SMS Backup + from the market. This app automatically backs up all text messages including mms and saves them to a folder in your gmail labeled, SMS. It's great! I've used it since I got the phone. That way I never have a situation like this.
