Easy, too easy, to shoot a snapshot with my 4a. Not so easy to manage them. What is an easy way, after I D/L them to my desktop PC, to Select All and Delete?

Nope, tried that. The message I got was something to the effect that that way didn't have the correct permission.

Perhaps someone has a better answer than this but if you are using the Google Photos app click on the top right circle that pops up a menu and click free up space. This will upload all your pictures to Google Photos ultimately freeing up space in your phone (if that's what you are aiming for). The thing is even if you free up space in your internal storage, once you open up the Google Photos app you'll still see your pictures that are stored "on the cloud".

If you just want to delete everything so that nothing is backed up to the cloud I suggest going to the website https://photos.google.com/ and from there the option to delete all is much easier since you can press shift and drag. It's been a while since I've logged into the actual website but I recall it being easier to bulk delete there.

Have you tried Files by Google? Scroll all the way down, tap Internal Storage, then /DCIM/Camera. Now tap the menu button at the upper right, then Select All, then garbage can. Does that work?
