Desk Charging Dock

FEDEX is delivering my Charger today. Has anyone been using this? Will the phone fit in it with a case on? I plan on using it is a nightstand clock by using "Lightning Bug" and Silent Mode. (I came from a BB Storm2 w/ Bedside Mode which was perhaps their best feature.)

I heard it charges either the phone or the battery - NOT BOTH. Any opinions?

I have the desktop charging dock, and have to say it works pretty well. It does not allow room for a case though, thats one thing that sucks about it. But it does allow room for the micro usb port cover which is kinda cool. But when you put it on, the LG logo lights up, and the phone defaults to the digital flip clock. It will not charge the battery and the phone at the same time, once the phone is charged, it will begin to charge the battery. Overall i like it, and have not had any issues with it.

One last question for now: Do alarms and notifications still work while in the charger? Sounds silly but you never know.

Yes alarms still work, and notifications as well. When you get a text message, it will pop up with a snapshot of the message, and then gives you 3 options, read, call, or close.

It works great! I plugged in the phone and it asked me if I wanted to use the Digital Clock or Lightning Bug. I defaulted on Lightning Bug. Check it out if you get a chance. It's great as a nightstand clock. It's very customizable. I have it set for a few bugs with bright red clock numbers. It's easy to see at night and it won't hurt your night vision. A good purchase for me!
