Desktop Multimedia station on sale

Hey guys, just want to let everyone know that I do believe that the desktop multimedia station is on sale at the Verizon store. I went in today, 12/26 and saw that it was listed for $29.99. When the guy rang me up I saw that it was $24.06 WITH tax. I asked him, and he told me that it was a post holiday sale. If you have been waiting, now seems like the time. Cheers.

Really? Well then I guess I'm heading over the store to get the dock tomorrow. Forget about waiting a few days until it's convenient lol.

I can't find the dock anywhere on the Verizon website though. Is it on there?

i haven't seen any cases that will work with it.

Thats what I was afraid of. I would love to have this, but what a pain to have to remove the snap on case every time. I was looking at a full coverage skin (that i am sure would work with the docking station) however, those are only good for scratches and such...NOT drops.

All you need to activate that dock mode is a magnet over the Motorola symbol, so if you got a magnet that was able to trip off that sensor in the back and built your own dock it would be just like the stock one.

There is a utility called Dockrunner in the market that will turn the feature on.

Seidio has or will have shortly a Dock that you can use with the stock Droid or with a Droid and skins. If it is like how they implemented the same for the Storm, it has a plastic insert that can be removed to support the phone with skins on. That's what I am waiting for. Then I can use their clip holster and not keep losing the back to my phone! And yes, they have a holster that will also allow you to keep skins on. IMHO, its the best unit sold.
