Developer Edition - Available April 19th

Ugh, now I'm torn. I'll stop by my local AT&T store to see if they have 64gb models in stock. This will be a tough call.

Although I may be able to live with my iPhone 4S a little longer as the other night, after like 9 month of not working, the wifi started working again. I think it knows its going to be replaced and is making a last ditch effort to stay in my pocket.

Dude its maybe a week till they fix this nonsense. I can hold out with my fully working S3 for the time being.

And this you say with what confidence? We were saying the same thing last week.

That's when it was originally the 18th. It'll come one way or another as the phones are being shipped today to most carriers and contract customers.

IMO they wanted to supply the big carriers first then worry about the dev people second. Just how it is.

That would be absolutely fine with me... but then they should have waited after release to start selling dev. But this nonsense of telling us it will be available on 4/18, and on 4/19 getting an email that it might ship by end of april... now thats inappropriate. As principle, i refuse to give money to a company who doesn't communicate, have attitude when you call reps, and gives no clear answer. And to once again quote on rep from letstalk "there is no way ATT will get the phones before us because we are the largest phone activators in the country". Really, its poor business so why support.

Called the automated number. My order is now for the 26th. Im cancelling when i can talk to an agent when they open in a bit. never again letstalk.com

Yup, I'm thinking they will ship on the 26th, and since that's a Friday, they will arrive on the 29th. 10 days.

I understand, but this kind of crap happens all the time. I'm over being all pissed and upset when it happens. I learned my lesson when the HTC Thunderbolt kept getting "delayed" week after week.

And honestly those who saw the complete fiasco with Google's ordering shouldn't be too upset over one week.

I learned my lesson with the Thunderbolt generally.

Just sent my wife up to ATT to pick me up one. If they have a 64 great if not 32 will do just fine. Didn't really need the 64 to begin with. Apparently the boot loader unlock is still functioning today as well.

Lets talk is losing my business mainly on principle at this point.

att plans and contracts are dum and expensive ill wait until the end of april no biggie

When you buy a phone at full price vs someone that buys one on contract, you almost offset your plan savings by spending more on the phone. Of course it depends on the plans that each user has but it could be minimum difference in the end.

Man, the Thunderbolt ordeal was bad. Was expecting to pick it up in Novemeber and kept getting 'pushed' till mid-March. That was a ride.

I'm canceling because I don't feel comfortable giving these guys my money. Delays happen, I get that -- that's not my problem. My problem as I've said before is the lack of communication and if something were to go wrong with my device, I'd prefer not to deal with their service as I'm sure it'll take ages to reAdh a resolution (assuming I would).

I'm just going to Best Buy and purchasing it it'll be like a $20 difference with my discount, but well worth it to know that if something goes wrong or I need assistance I have a brick and mortar I can go to that would assist me in any issues passed the purchase. Also, Inwouldnt be surprised if LetsTalk would do sme shady stuff and I get some random charges and an even later device.

HTC has had several problems with getting devices out and shortage of stock. People couldn't get the 1st EVO for months, Thunderbolt has issues and this one. I'm sure other device may have had some issues. Not really aware since I wasn't interested in those. The only positive thing about this from HTC perspective is the number of people people that are buying unlocked and developer models is peanuts compared to the ones that will buy from the carriers. I'm not going to lie, if I was HTC and I needed to choose between stock to give to AT&T or for unlocked users that represent a very small population, I'd go with AT&T. Not that I agree, but I would understand if it was a choice between the 2 groups. I wish they would have let people know a few more days back than the day of.

All this time I was thinking of buying the 64 Dev edition and was going to pull the trigger with the free case and shipping but decided in the end it would be better to wait and get more money and hopefully find it cheaper somewhere. All this fiasco and horrible customer service from htc made me change my mind and possibly look at other options.
