Boy, have I been having a good day?

After being unable to connect to my Netgear PTV3000 with the Pro, I was foolish enough to do a factory reset.
I checked that I had things backed up, and off I went.

Went through the start-up settings on reboot, re-established Google and Samsung Accounts, pretty much got all my apps downloaded (although my Universal Remote now has to be rebuilt for my TV, AVR, Foxtel Cable TV set top box, and my blu-ray player (grrr).

But a significant item is missing in Settings, General - no Developer Options on this menu anymore!! I read a suggestion referring to a "hardware overlay" setting that can be turned off and on, was wondering if that might solve my PTV 3000 problem (which has persisted past the factory reboot). I note the build number after factory reset was 4.4.2-0011 whereas before factory reset it was 4.4.2-0017.

I've been robbed, no more Developer Options.:(

Any experts out there??

Hi madaudio,

You should go to the Settings -> About device -> find the build number and tap the build number about 7 times. After this, you should see the submenu developer options ;)

Anyone got any clues as to why I ended up with what appears to be an earlier build number after the factory reset? (4.4.2-0017 before and 4.4.2-0011 after)
