Device Maintenance Edge Panel

I've got the Device Maintenance edge panel. The circle at the bottom with 'Fix Now' underneath it - the circle is always spinning. It never arrives at a value. What's going on, do you think? Fix Now does nothing. However, if I go to one of the other functions, like Memory, and clear things from there, when I hit the back button I'm taken to the main screen of the Device Maintenance area and can clear it all from there. Then the edge panel number reads 100%. Doesn't work as planned, I guess. I've also see this in a video recently, the maker was doing something with edge panels and landed on this one and his was spinning like mine also.

It does take longer. If you reboot, it should work just fine. But it does go back to being unresponsive. Definite a bug.

Mine only takes a few seconds. Maybe because I close apps immediately after using.

The edge panel on mine doesn't work at all, it just keeps circling around. The only way I can effectively run it, is by going through the settings.

Same here. It has stopped working and I also get the never ending circle. It worked for like the first 2 weeks I think and now it just spins and spins.

For all of you that get the never ending spinning status, try restarting your phone. Then try it again to see if it gives the option to fix it.

Actually just click on one of the other functions and then settings, you'll go to the full function and can do it from there. Click back and the edge will read 100%

It worked perfectly for me when I first got the phone at launch. After the first update to the program is when the edge panel stopped working for me. I used to be able to remove all updates and it would work like it should.

If I boot into safe mode, it works properly. You can boot into safe mode with the phone on after pressing the power button to turn it off, hold down on the power off icon until it asks to go into safe mode.

Yeah, I'm with AT&T and mine has always worked fine and is still working fine so it must be something that Big Red is playing games with! :-(

If the edge panel is working in Safe Mode, it is doubtful your update is the problem. There is something running in the background that is interfering. Disable any app that you have recently added. Battery monitoring or power saving apps or security and file cleaning apps are a few of the possible culprits.

I just received an update to 1.5.00.13 on AT&T. The edge panel seems to be working consistently.
