I usually use Square trade for my insurance.
I use ST for all 2nd hand electronics just in case I come across a shady seller. Never had to use it, thankfully.

A phone claim, that's what I would want on my homeowner's insurance. Every claim counts against you. I've had several agents advice against thisI just include my phone under my house insurance under accidental, it might cost a tad more but nothing like the cost of a new flagship.
I never buy insurance for my phones. In the long run, on average, it costs more to buy insurance than it would to pay for repairs or replacement directly. If that weren't true, insurance companies would lose money and go bankrupt, instead of making a profit.
The only time insurance makes sense is when you're protecting against an occurrence that, without insurance, would be financially catastrophic and irrecoverable, not merely unpleasant and difficult--something like having your house burn down. (If repairing or replacing my phone were a catastrophic expense, I'd get a much less expensive phone in the first place.)
I do take good care of my phones, though. I've never broken one, and by not buying insurance I've already saved enough money to cover the cost of a new high-end phone.

Just saying what most homeowner's insurance experts would say, claim on your house for major claims. High claim activity gets you cancelled and then it's look for new insurance time again. Me personally, my homeowner's insurance is for catastrophic events, not $1,000 phones. It's covered under the same policy as my PC which would cost a small fortune to replace, we did have a claim a couple of years back when the wife dropped her Note 4 on the kitchen floor tiles so she settled for the latest Samsung at that time, of course the premium will go up but like I say it's not drastic and things like this rarely happen.
Samsung Premium Care can only be added when you order the phone. If you ever cancel it, or you bought the phone but did not add it at the time, they can't add it anymore. I used to not use insurance until the Note 8 and 9 when phones became so expensive I was worried about it being stolen from me. I went with Samsung because I have good experience with them when I go to their service center in NJ. It costs money, but it's a little piece of mind if the phone gets stolen and I need a replacement.
Maybe I misread, but I don't think they covered loss/theft. I'll have to go look again.
