"Device Software Modified" alert from VZ Protect app

I have Galaxy S7 phone that I purchased from Verizon. I keep on receiving an alert from 'VZ Protect'app that says "Device software modified". "Device may be at risk". I used VZ Protect app to scan my phone, but it did not detect any issues. My phone works fine. This message periodically disappears, but to my annoyance, reappears. I had called Verizon Support, and Technician told me he did not detect security issues on my device.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
