My Bionic is starting to go; microphone is dying, Bluetooth radio isn't nearly as strong as it was, it's always running out of RAM, and other little annoyances.

I like the removable battery on my phone, and I *HATE* the Razr Maxx HD for not having one; otherwise I wouldn't even be asking =/ So here's my list of what's important to me :)

  • I have unlimited data, and have been told that to cheat the system the workaround is to upgrade another line w/o it (IE my brother's line), put their old phone back on the line, then swap the new phone for my Bionic...confirmation on this would be nice.
  • Removable battery w/ a good extended option; the Bionic had great manufacturer support
  • Root please; I like my SQL hack for free hotspot, although I hear there are new alternatives...but I also use some root only apps like TB Pro, Widgetsoid, Root Explorer...
  • MicroSDXC support
  • I'm starting to think Samsung, on account of my Smart TV ^_^

Thanks in advance <3

I have an iPhone 5 as well as a LG Spectrum 2. I got my Spectrum 2 on eBay never opened for $235. This phone is a sleeper, you don't hear much about it but it's fantastic. Wireless charging, NFC, sd card slot, removable battery and comes with 2 NFC tags. I am not a very big Samsung phone fan, I can never get as good of signal with their phones as I can others. At work we have sound proof rooms and I have only had 2 phones ever that I could get signal in them with, the Lumia 822 and the Spectrum 2.

The build quality is awesome, it is plastic but it feels sturdy. The back does not show fingerprints like all of my others phones have, even my aluminum iPhone 5 shows fingerprints on the back. I never considered the Spectrum 2 to be worth buying until I got it brand new for cheap. It is worth it, I would definitely buy it again. It has absolutely no lag except for right after you turn it on but then it goes away.

Take a look at it, you might really like it. I also just today ordered the Razr M for my sister, it doesn't have a removable battery but has an sd card slot. I will post about it after we get it.

Thanks TOD! I checked out the Spectrum 2, and I liked it, except the processor is dual core and I see a lot of the newer phones are coming with quad =/ And as for the Razr M, my brother has one, and I know it won't cut it for what I need.

Right now, I think the S4 is coming in at #1 for me...does anybody have a better phone in mind?

I am on Verizon and personally, I am switching. If I wasn't however I would be buying the S4. I just want more choices, particularly phones like a nexus (not the galaxy nexus), been there, regret that) or the HTC One. Personally I have the Razer maxx and the phone is pretty nice, love the battery life but the phone does have a bit of lag now and then.

Yeah, it is only a dual core but I have never had an issue with it. I am not a phone gamer, just a standard app user.
