Dialer App that allows me to change Number Pad to o a Letter Pad/Keyboard?

Just coming from the HTC M8 to my new Galaxy S8 and really not digging this dialer.
With the HTC, you could have a regular keyboard pop up when you hit the phone button as its a super fast way to search for contacts.

With the S8, I have to open the dialer, then either spell with the numbers using the small letters below them or, reach up top, hit the search area, type and then hit call (which is not easy to do .

Are there any dialers that could speed this process up for me?

If you are commonly searching your contacts, I would recommend going to your Contacts app instead of the Dialer app. This should get you quicker access to the search functionality.

Its the same exact time-required.
Either way, I have to go to the top of the screen and search.
Not the end of the world, but its a pain in the a$$ considering how tall this phone is, which requires to hands to execute.
