Hi all. I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this issue:
I've had problems with my battery dying off VERY fast (less than 6 hours from a full charge), and unrelated to all the other "battery life" posts, tips and tricks, I've noticed when this has happened, that the Dialer app is running in the FOREGROUND even tho I'm not on a call. I use Android System Info to track what apps are using the CPU, and it's there that I see the Dialer running, using 70-90% of the CPU and in the foreground...yet I'm not on a call. My battery is warm to the touch even tho I'm not using the phone, which is my "red flag" to go check for what's running.
An activity that I've noticed might cause this to happen is if I accidentally make a call, but hit End Call before it actually connects. I wonder if this activity is causing the Dialer to not shut down? I'm not getting charged minutes, which is good, but b/c the task is running constantly, it's killing my battery.
Thoughts? Ideas?
