dictating text on whatsapp

until recentley when dictating text on whatsapp after finishing the text a window would open with 3 options of the text with different spellings ie to too or two or a name cathy or kathy i then had the option to click on one of these three options and it would then appear in the text message ready to send, i now have lost this function and whatsapp tell me the problem is with my phone setting, can anyone out there help, i am not a whizz kid or phone guru so please don't assume i am. regards and thank you jerry
