I'd love to buy straight from Google, but it keeps telling me it's not available yet in Canada. Yet I can go get one from Rogers Wireless on or off contract. What gives?

Same here. Nexus devices not available for our country. I don't know what's the reason. If we can pay why they refuse.

So did I...I called google and I was assured that the device will ship. I received my confirmation email this morning...now the hardest part is the wait. Lol

I wonder if the ban just prevents Samsung from selling Google any more phones but allows Google to distribute the phones they already have from Samsung?

Hopefully so, would suck if the first phone with Jelly Bean were blocked by some Apple BS litigation.

Congrats to everyone that is getting their Nexus today. I ordered mine early this morning before all of the garbage court news broke. I got the order confirmation but obviously my phone has not shipped yet- will they be shipping it to me or am I out of luck due to this ruling? Sorry for the dumb question- I'm not very good with the legal stuff!

Injunction doesn't officially go into effect until Apple posts the bond to get it started (~$96M). As far as I know they still have not yet done so.

It's crazy because I wouldn't have been going through this had I just kept my original gnex. At least I'm getting a nice deal on this one. I originally paid almost $700.00

Crap guys i have sgs3 and i am seriusly thinking of switching back to the galaxy nexus i kind of miss faster updates and the question is if the performance is equal or better. Any of you guys think i should do the switch? Or should i stay with my sgs3.

Personally for me the better specs are outweighed by no bloatware and quicker updates. Especially once JB rolls around, with butter on the Nexus the difference will be made smaller too.

I love my Nexus, but for better specs and features like expandable memory, I may just make my next phone the GS III, and flash JB. Best of both worlds...

I'm glad i did too. I had a hard time for these two days adjusting to hspa+ speeds almost wanted to send it back, but the more I use it the more i like it. can't wait for JB. on a side note, does your phone get hot around the earpiece area? mine does and i contacted Samsung about that they offered me an exchange but i'm not sure if it is something i should worry about... thanks...

I have been using an iPhone since the first 2G model, the 4GB one that was on sale for a few months. I have used the 2G, 3G, 4 and now the 4S. I was thinking of getting the GNex when it was $399, but the $349 price was too hard to resist. I am not 100% sure if I will completely switch platforms, but I plan to put my ATT sim in the GNex and use it a good bit and see how I like it. I also plan to use it stock if I can, but if I need to, I have a friend that has been loading custom ROMs on his ATT Captivate almost weekly since he bought it over 2 years ago, so I am sure he could give me a few tips.

I ordered my GNex from the Play store on the afternoon of Sat 6/30. I got the order confirmation email within 15 minutes and the account linked to my Google Wallet account has been charged for the funds. So, I am hoping to get my shipment info today or tomorrow, and based on y'alls experience, it would be awesome to get my GNex by Friday!!!

Oh, BTW, the Android Central Podcast is awesome, it is one of my top 5. Up there with The Verge, The Verge Mobile, Tekzilla and Lifehacker.

I've noticed that the phone (As with all Samsungs I've had) they get warm if I'm doing a lot on it while it's charging but haven't specifically noticed the ear piece getting hot. Just usually the back where the battery is.

Have you received a shipping confirmation yet? I ordered at noon on Saturday. My card is showing a pending charge and I got the order confirmation email Saturday. Worried about not receiving a shipping notice yet. Is Google usually slow with this kinda stuff?

They process orders slow. Could take 2-3 days. I ordered last Wednesday at noon and got my shipping notice at 1pm Thursday. Being that you ordered on a weekend you might get it tonight but possibly tomorrow.
