Did anyone switch from the iPhone 6 to the S6 edge?

I came from an iPhone 6.. the battery drains quicker on the S6. The screen on the S6 just blows your mind and the camera is amazing. I've only had it for one day so I'm still getting used to the change. So far I have an issue not being able to unlock(fingerprint lock) the s6 to reply to message(default message app). I noticed that some apps, like gmail, will allow me to unlock from the lockscreen and go straight to the app. Anyone could suggest something, maybe its a simple setting im missing.

Keep your iPhone for a good 2-4 weeks after switching just in case you change your mind.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing since I just love my iPhone 6 so much. But of course I'm hoping I would love the S6 Edge better. It looks sleek and handy.

I'm going through serious withdraw symptoms with the battery on the edge. I've tried all the suggestions so save battery and had to charge it a couple of times yesterday to get through the day. Other than that, it's beautiful.

PS - Can I reply to a text from the lock screen as with the iPhone or as when already in the device and the popup window comes up?
How can I quickly scroll to the top of a page, as in iPhone when tapping the top edge of a window in the Internet browser.

I use the google messenger app and I can reply from the notification shade but not the lock screen. As for tap to the top, that doesn't exist. I'm sure there is a hack for it but I wouldn't know where to look.

Someone help and tell me this isn't true.. I still don't seem to have that all, priority or none BS. I just want my phone and all its functions(emails, sms) to vibrate when the phone is set to vibrate and to ring or make whatever noise it makes when it has volume. Seems that the only way to get sms, email to vibrate is to set it to do so in the settings but this makes it vibrate ALL the time, which is annoying because I could hear my notifications when the phone has volume, I don't need it to vibrate to. I'm on 5.0.2. I would like to use the phones original applications and no third party apps if possible. I really appreciate your suggestions.

Sure did! Jumper from the 6 Plus to the S6 Edge Plus for Samsung Pay mostly. Plus on the Jump on Demand program from T-Mobile, I got a free case, wireless charger, and screen protector (which I'm not using as screens are protected enough) with my phone!

Yup. I came from an iphone 6 plus to the edge plus. It is an amazing phone and i am super happy that i switched. The camera is way better the battery life, the screen is so bright and crisp colors. Video recording is amazing. I wish i had this phone when i just went on my cruise in August. I would of had amazing pictures and videos. The ones i took with the iphone are kind of dull. Def worth the switch.

Ok so I'm thinking about switching from the iPhone 6 to the S6 edge, just don't know. I'm like 50/50 on it

I am in the unfortunate position of having to change phones frequently to test them. This weekend I switched between an iPhone 6 and the S6 Edge. They each have their pluses and minuses. I'm an Android guy by default but the iPhone 6 won this battle for me. Here are my reasons:

1. The fingerprint sensor on the iPhone smashes the S6 sensor. With Samsung Pay about to launch, I really wanted to use an S6 to replace my credit card. I averaged maybe 1 out of 10 attempts at getting my fingerprint right on the first try. I even rocked the phone without a case thinking maybe that would help. It didn't. Apple and Apple Pay dominate this.

2. The edges of the Edge screen at too sensitive. I use my phone in landscape model a lot and I was constantly dragging down the notification panel without meaning to. This was beyond frustrating. The whole point of this phone is the edges and the edges made usability worse.

3. The iPhone 6 battery life dominated the S6 Edge. Flat out killed it.

4. Expandable storage has always been important to me. If I'm flying out, I load up my SD with a bunch of movies and podcasts so I can zone out. Now that isn't an option unless I want to screw around with deciding what to delete and what to keep. Apple already has solutions for this and is much farther ahead and better planned out.

5. The iPhone camera blows away Samsung. Its not even a battle.

So for this Android guy, if I had to choose between the S6 Edge and an iPhone 6, it would be the iPhone. Right now Samsung is trying too hard to follow Apple and they are doing a crap job at it.

I would not do it. I switched and I am miserable. So much so I paying my next account off and going all the way back to a iPhone 5 because its all I have.

I did. My switch was prompted by a desire to keep up with Android device development, since I have spent far more time with various Apple products during the last 5 years (phones, pads, laptops, desktops, routers, etc.)
