Did Droid 4 release as was also rumored, and if not?

With the 9 december rumer also came the rumor that the droid 4 was going to drop today. Does anyone know if it has? If it hasnt, what does this mean?

Dose that call the whole 9 and 8 december rumor into question? Or is verizon changing both devices to throw us off? or what?

New rumored date for the D4 is December 22.
But we all know how well rumored dates hold up with VZW...

I just called a bunch of stores about the GNex and mentioned the D4 to a few of them. Each one I mentioned the D4 to said they'd heard rumors about it but that's it.

Why is Droid 4 post in a Galaxy Nexus forum?

Why? Because one rumor was that Verizon was delaying the GNex yet again in order to provide a nice promo/sales window for the Droid 4, which rumor had also launching this week. Since that appears not to be the case, it's all moot. Verizon is just delaying the heck out of everything at the moment.

I called a few stores and while every one of them was willing to say that the nex had been pushed back from friday, they either knew nothing of the droid 4 or knew what it was but not when it would be released or if it would be released this year. So my guess is that the whole droid 4 on Thursday is bunk and since that is, the 9th for the nexus was probably never true either, just a mistake.

New devices show up in our corporate enterprise portal when they launch (of if you can preorder them like the iPhone 4s and the RAZR did.) The Droid 4 did not show up today. I had a few execs waiting for it too..

I'm gonna log into that sucker tomorrow and hope to see the Nexus, but I know it won't be there......hehe.

I doubt it. It was actually showing up in systems and stores have inventory.... So the 9th probably was the date.. it just got pushed.

The 9th WAS a valid date and was supposed to be "the day". It showed the 9th in OMM Marketing channels and in Infomanager, both proprietary internal VZW systems accessible by many VZW employees.

If you think it was some conspiracy, you're delusional. We had emails that showed the date in addition to the above mentioned sources, which are indeed VERY good sources. The best, in fact.

Is the Droid 4 supposed to be a 4G phone? If so, that could be confirmation that the LTE outage is what caused both the Nexus and Droid 4 to be pushed back a bit.

I've determined that those emails and post of copies of emails are by far the least reliable source. My god I've seen 20 for the GN and its still not here.

I'm buying the first phone shipped with ICS even if its a god damn LG!

Droid 4 is not listed at the VZW website either. They don't even offer a SPAM registration option to be notified of all the wonderful products that VZW and Motorola plan on releasing. So all of us Nexus fans are special in that area.
