Did I install a virus on my phone?

[AC Question]

I was on a website that automatically downloaded a .apk file and I accidentally tapped it, nothing happened (I checked and it's still set not to install apps from unknown sources). I found the file in my downloads and deleted it but I'm still worried. Am I safe or should I factory reset?
