Did I kill my Hero

I downloaded chomp sms tonight and everything worked fine for awhile . My wife and I was texting and my phone went blank . Wont turn on . I pulled the battery several times . Any ideas on what could have happened or what if anything to do.

I had something like that happen one with a GPS app. Try charging it for a while then turn it on.

It turned out to be a faulty charged that fried my battery . New battery fixed it.
