Why would they talk about a device that was already released? And plus, the GE S4 isn't even considered a Nexus device.

why didnt google talk about Galaxy nexus? the same reason why they didnt talk about N4.

There is a reason why the device is called "Galaxy S4 Google Edition" and not Nexus name attached to it.

I'm asking why they didn't talk about the N4 lte or the N5? When do they plan on talking about it?

Google I/O still has 2 days left...

If, of course, an N4 LTE exists.

I would be shocked if Google would give up on the Nexus that easy. I don't see that happening.

because google always release nexus phones on Nov-Dec just like Nexus One, Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4. which all happened at that time period.
you logic sound plain stupid to me. I am sorry if i offended you but i have to say that.

I have been following Google IO for 4 years and its a developer conference and phone release always happens at the end of the year.

again you are making up stuffs by saying that Google would giveup Nexus that easily.

Nexus 4 came out in October. If their conference is in Nov-Dec that wouldn't make sense.

you misread him. He's agreeing with you. As for the topic, there's no reason to believe there won't be a nexus 5 this Fall just because they didn't announce it at the I/O. Same goes for the Nexus tablets

Yes, sir. You've missed a lot. Let me throw a few dates at you...

Nexus One - 1/2010
Nexux S - 12/2012
Galaxy Nexus - 11/2011 (LTE 12/2011)
Nexus 4 - 11/2012

You see a pattern there? The next Nexus will be realeased this fall...most likely with KLP or whatever the end up calling the next big version of Android. Same as always. You may just start seeing more of these "Google Edition" devices in between. Google's been talking about doing it for a while now.

Phandroid had an article, saying the S4-Nexus is the Nexus-Five, this is the new Nexus. They made it sound like there won't be a true Nexus 5 release this Fall.

don't read too much into that, it's just a blogger's opinion, not a reference to anything official.

I think this whole thread could have its roots in blog posts and rumors claiming that a new Nexus was coming out at I/O. There seemed to be a sizable number of people who, for whatever reason, had convinced themselves that Google would announce the next Nexus or an LTE Nexus this week, when in reality no concrete info pointed to that at all. Heck, the rumor of a vanilla SG4 only hit the web a day before the keynote, and most people dismissed the idea.

I would love that.
HTC has some catch-up to do. If they released a Google version of the One with 64GB, SD Slot, Removable battery, at $600, they could draw a lot of attention. They have the most to gain from trying to give us everything.

I would think the design of the One precludes a removable battery...
