Did Samsung remove Mini Apps in most recent tablets?

Hi everyone. I have an older Android tablet - a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. I may be in the minority, but I find the mini apps and the mini apps popup menu quite useful. I like being able to pull up a calculator or a world clock without switching away from the app I am running full screen. I am thinking of upgrading to a Tab S. I was looking at the newest Samsung tablets yesterday in Best Buy and it looks as if in the latest updates to the UI that the Mini Apps are completely gone, or at least if they are still there I could not find them. Does anyone know for sure if Samsung has indeed removed that feature from the latest models?

I think it is a Note-exclusive feature now. My Note 10.1 2014 Edition had it, but my Tab S 10.5 doesn't. It is a feature from the S-Pen.
