Did the sticker on the back of your N7 peel off yet?

Me too. I hate when I see people with a 3 month old car that still has stickers on the dashboard and all over. Or those advertisement stickers around the bezel on laptops.

I honestly think people who leave stickers on their devices should be brutally flogged.

I took my sticker off my N7 without thinking about it.. Didn't think people leave it on.

I do however still have the stickers on my laptop, they don't bother me and on some occasions are very useful. One of the stickers on my laptop the model number as well as a barcode so I could easily check out the specs.

You are exactly the person I was posting about.

The sticker on mine, uh, "peeled off" the day I got it...

I'm just glad it came off easily. The Intel and Windows 7 stickers on my laptop were much tougher to take off without scuffing the finish.

Yeah I ripped mine off the instant I got the N7 out of the box. Never even considered leaving it on.

Took the sticker off the Nexus 7 when I took it out of the box. Take the sticker off the brim of my baseball hats when I buy those, too.

Well, it seems that popular opinion points to my sticker preservation mentality as being for the birds. I'm peeling the still sticky part off now, so go easy with the flogging.

Anyway, can't believe that was the best identification method Asus could come up with. Couldn't read it, looked ugly and didn't stick well. Whatever! I am now officially unstickered!

Oh. The long skinny sticker. Lol. I had to look in the box to see. Took it off day one.

Yanked 'er of during the un-boxing as it looked like an afterthought. I also remove dealer advertising graphics from my cars. I once refused to drive a car off a lot until they got rid of the big dealer sticker and glue from my front bumper. And this was a new car. When they asked me why, I told them that it was ugly, and if they wanted me to keep it, the advertising space would cost them $485 per month.

The corner of mine is peeling off quite a bit after two months of use. I'm about ready to tear it off the rest of the way and put it in the original box. Just as well, because that sticker seems to cheapen the look of the N7, even if it's still fully attached.

The FCC label?

I don't think it's meant to be left on. The adhesive is very light. Treat it like those "do not remove under penalty of Federal law" tags on mattresses. The buyer is allowed to cut those off after purchase. :D

Mine is still on and I don't care what others think. Maybe I'll take it off one day. Maybe not... :)
Ah, a true Nexus 7 aficionado! And with the pure Android mentality of individualism and customization, doing it YOUR way. Good for you! :)

Mine is still on there, but it has been in the Asus case since day one. Today, it will move to it's new home, a Portenzo bookcase. So the sticker is probably going nowhere for the foreseeable future.

I believe that some FCC information has to be visible to the consumer. Usually it's on the bottom or in a battery compartment, but in the case of the N7 there isn't any opening. So,.... a temporary sticker. (Well, arguably temporary.)

Ah - maybe just in the US, that would explain it.

I have a friend who intentionally leaves the protective film on his phones, tablets and whatever else he buys that has it on.

That's pretty disturbing, though sometimes I leave on that big tag that is attached to pillows. However, that's due more to laziness than to a tag fetish. But those tags do make great reading material if my stickerless Nexus 7 is charging in the other room.

I was so excited to open and setup my 7 that I didn't realize that little sticker even had writing on it! It came off immediately B-)

I know. Now when I can I steal it and pull the film off. The worst was when he got a galaxy nexus because it has the big logo in the middle of the plastic blocking part of the screen.
