Did you test your upload speed on 3g?

It's also very likely a material breach that would allow you to break your contract without an ETF.

That is also a likely scenario.

That is why I do not believe this is a network issue but rather a problem of the headset itself, hopefully a fixable bug on the radio firmware.

BS theory. Just ran two tests, upload was 170 and 164... ain't no 150 cap!

Are you aware that the upload speeds of the Evo (just an example) are over 3x faster on the same network. Personally, I got between 140-155 upload on over 20 different tests on my Epic, that is substantially slower than my Evo.

No BS, there is something happening here.

I'll have to get my co-worker to try it on the EVO from the same location.

Yeah, I don't think it's a 150 cap, but it certainly appears to be below 180 for everyone who is reporting it. Most are coming up with anything between 135 and 155. There's definitely a problem here, because the Evo folks at androidforums.com are confirming that they are getting much higher 3G upload speeds than the Epic users.

I was running the speed test on my Evo and Epic, both in the same location at the same time of day. The Epic as said above is getting 140-155 consistently. The Evo is getting 400-600. Download speeds are comparable, a bit faster on the Evo.

well, it appears my phone is capped now. not only are my uploads capped at 150kbps, but my downloads have been significantly slower as well
(~500kbps slower). put me on the WTF bandwagon.

i dont know when this change happened. it is hard to say since my speeds suck at work, but here at home, its very evident now.

There is an issue, but I don't know where the cap is. At one point, I was hitting .23 mbps upload and I believe a .24 for a brief moment.

Just got home to Haverhill, MA and ran tests again with 4 bars showing.

Speedest showed 260 Kbps DL and 100 Kbps UL

I then ran it with the BroadbandDSLreports browser based test and got 264 DL and 112 UL.

Just for the heck of it I then tested with my wife’s BB Tour which I gave her when I got the EPIC and got 1870 DL and 760 UL

I for a moment don’t believe that this is simply an UL issue and it’s a sin that the EPIC is way below what a BB is doing.

My trade offer is rescinded. lol

I'm getting great DL speeds (1150+), but definitely appears to be capping around 150-160. It's strange, it seems to be hitting 400+ momentarily, then dropping down almost instantly to the 130's and then rising up to 150-160...seems fishy

This frustrates the hell out of me. I just ran these from home from several different servers:

I take it back about the dl speeds. While out tonight, I tested again and was getting 2mbps down...still getting 150kbps up though. Arg
