Difference between Recording and Missed Call Icons!

Where can I find an explanation of the differences between these two icons on my Pixel 7? I' don't really understand what each of them mean and how to get them to disappear once I see them.

The one on the left that looks like a reel-to-reel tape means you have a voicemail. The phone icon that has an arrow bouncing off it means you missed a call.

You can clear them by listening to the voicemail, and also accessing your call history to see which call you missed.

The problem with looking up icons online is that it can often be difficult to find the exact icon you're looking for. A lot of times, when I'm looking up an icon, most of the results are just from icon libraries, rather than the actual device manufacturer or whoever actually designed the app in question.

I agree. With the number of app "updates" coming to the Pixel (and other) phones and the rate at which they come, much of the on-line info becomes out-of-date. I've written a lot of procedures to help me remember things on my Pixel 7 phone, and by the time I'm satisfied with one it's already out of date .

I get a lot of missed calls, and usually the person whose call I missed leaves a message in my voicemail. However, the reel-to-reel icon rarely appears.

I appreciate your tip and am thankful that you gave it to me, but an icon glossary is NOT available on my Pixel 7 Pro. When I ask the Google Assistant to display Google's icon glossary, it directs me to the web, and the link that I receive is as worthless as tits on a boar. It shows 13 screens, and there are lots more icons that appear from time to time on my phone.
