Difference between two DNA's

So my fiance's DNA had the sim card issue last night. I did the hard reset on her phone. Unlike my phone when you press and hold the power button down (screen pops up with choice of power off, airplane mode, and restart) hers had a screen pop up that had a countdown timer to when the phone would restart. No matter how may times I tried it it wouldn't get me the menu like my phone. Could this be because her phone is a couple months newer. Both have the newest updates (guess sim update didn't work that well) At the end I just had to pull the sim and reset it.any guesses on the power button issue

Never mind My bad I figured it out messing around with my phone. I was inadvertently pressing down the volume button while holding the power button down. duuuuh!:-[
