I just upgraded from an Eris to an incredible. My Eris battery works on the incredible. I was wondering will using a battery for a different cell phone harm the incredible?
Thanks

It shouldn't. Amazon lists the Seidio 1750 mAh extended battery as being compatible with both the Incredible and the Eris. I'm using a 1500 mAh battery that I purchased off of eBay that is for a HTC Ozone I believe.. so I think you should be just fine.

has anyone found any cases to use with an extended battery?

You didn't specify *which* extended battery you're talking about - some extended batteries will fit in a regular case, some won't. A very general answer is yes, a number of manufacturers make cases for phones with extended batteries.

The Siedio 1750 is the same size as the stock battery so any case would work and their larger batteries they have cases for them.

the extended battery Verizon sells for the Incredible is a lot thicker and also has cover door specific to it. There aren't any skin cases in the Verizon stores or online that fit their extended battery for the Incredible.

The battery is thicker and the cover it comes with fits it but there is a definite thickness. The original size is flat and it fits cases fine.

use the Incredible battery. It can save ur life!

hahah I saw that as well. Might of just been luck.

Back on topic, the VZW store that I go to did say something about a different battery from a different HTC phone works without issues and gives better battery life. Something I didn't expect from a VZW rep.

I'm with Jayhawkfan18. I use a 1500 from the HTC ozone. I switch back and forth. The ozone battery is slightly thicker but the same exact rectangle size. Fits perfect and the stock back cover still fits despite the slight extra thickness. I would use an extended battery, but not having a protective case over the protruding cover is a deal breaker.

I just use the two batteries instead of 1. Plus I got it for $15 brand new!
