I guess I have to learn some special esoteric way to touch and then move the answering button in a certain subtle way...?

I'd much prefer just being able to tap the answer button and that's it. I tried this:

settings - general - accessibility - dexterity and interaction - touch and hold for calls: It is now ON but doesn't seem to change anything. Maybe I now have to hold the answer button in some subtle esoteric way...

on mine I have to touch the button and slide it. maybe they did that to prevent inadvertent answers with just a touch.

I'd been trying that, touching and sliding the button in different ways, saying hello, hello, hello like a fool, until the call is gone. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

I have no problems at all answering, but yeah sometimes sliding to reject a call and send it to voicemail can be a bit maddening. I'll touch and slide and it acts like nothing happened. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries. I eventually found that it's just a poorly designed interaction and really requires you touch the icon for a second then slide it. With my older phones (Samsung S5, S3, Droid 2, iPhone 3G) no problems. Though with that old iPhone sliding to unlock the phone was a nightmare and didn't work for two to three initial slides to unlock.

So it's weird for me. Answering it takes a fast slide of the green answer button but when I'm at work and people call and I want it to go to voicemail I have to touch the red reject button for a second then slide it. Quick slideovers never work.
