DInc Bluetooth Issue

So here is the issue I am having with my Incredible. I have a 2011 Chevy Equinox with bluetooth capability and a new Panasonic home cordless phone with bluetooth. On both of these devices my Incrdible rarely has a reliable bluetooth connection. They show a bluetooth connection is active but when I receive an incoming call and try to answer with the bluetooth connected device I get no connection and both devices show the bluetooth connection was dropped. If I look at the Incredible the screen shows an active phonecall but it still thinks it's connected to a bluetooth device and I can't talk on it. The same thing happened on an older VTech home cordless phone with bluetooth. This Dinc worked just fine with both bluetooth devices until the last update. Since then I have experienced the issue.

I went to a local Verizon Service Center and they replaced my Incredible under the assurance program but the problem persists with the new Dinc as well. The Verizon rep seems convinced the problem is with my bluetooth devices, not the DInc but I find it difficult to believe that both devices would have exactly the same connection issue.

Any ideas? ? ?

Bluetooth for all it's hype and for as long as it's been around is still problematic. Manufacturers do not have to implement all of the protocol to claim Bluetooth compatibility and sometimes devices just won't play together.

As an example, a buddy's Ford Sync will pair with just about everything BUT his phone, a relatively new LG Flip world phone on VZW, and the original DInc software would not voice dial over Bluetooth. So it is possible that if your devices will not stay paired with either DInc there may be something in either their stack or the new DInc stack that just won’t work.

Have you tried pairing the DInc with a BT Headset or Car Speakerphone other then the Chevy?

Just tried it with my old Motorola T505 and had the same issue. Shows it is paired and then drops the link when trying to answer an incoming call. Did some more experimentation and found that, strangely enough, there are no connection problems when trying to make outgoing calls - at least on the Panasonic home phone and the T505 and after making an outgoing call, incoming calls are ok. For some reason it just refuses to stay linked if the first event is an incoming call. I need to do some more experimentation.

My Dinc's bluetooth works flawlessly on my 2010 G37 which also supports bluetooth audio. I love streaming Pandora to my car via bluetooth and it will still work as a phone if I get a call....

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm having the same Bluetooth issues with my Incredible and my 2011 Buick. I've tried a hard reset among other things with no help.

I have a 2009 Altima Coupe and it CONSTANTLY drops my bluetooth in the middle of a call. I've just started connecting my headphone to the aux-in on the stereo. That when when the bluetooth drops it shifts the call over to my stereo. Annoying, but it works.

I should note that I NEVER had an issue until the Android 2.2 update. A fair amount of other people have noted and submitted bluetooth bugs after the 2.2 update.
