Dinc not a phone any more. Best way?

Since the Gnex is out I will be giving my Dinc to my 6 year old son. I am turning off all of the phone functions and going to have it basically be an iPod touch similar product. I just downloaded MIUI, which just happens to look like an iPod Touch too. But is this the best rom to basically listen to music, watch movies, and play app games?

Anyone else "un-phoning" this phone? Any other ideas?

If you like the Apple experience then MIUI is a great ROM. The music player has a bit of a challenge with identifying artists, But they may have fixed that by now.

Check the development section on XDA. There is a script you can run that will disable the radio. This way, if you are planning to use it a wifi only device like an ipod, it will make the battery last a great deal longer. The radio searching for a tower (even if the phone is not activated) will use battery for nothing.

Or you can just turn on airplane mode then turn on WiFi which would have the same effect.
