I know there are the cables for the DINC that allows you to hook up a set of RCA cables to the phone via the USB port on the phone. Do those same cables work for the DINC2? I'm eligible for an upgrade and if those cables work for the DINC2, I may have found a replacement for my OG X.

Thanks.

Are you talking RCA cables to the USB port or to the 3.5mm audio out? You can get a Y cable most anywhere (Walmart has them) that converts your 3.5mm audio into two RCA plugs, so you can plug into stereo equipment, etc.

The ones that plug into the USB port for video.

I cant speak out of knowledge or experience but I would bet money they would work

It looks like these cables will NOT work with the phone according to the AC store's warning. I found the cables as a DINC accessory and then switched the device to a DINC2. A big warning popped up saying that the cables won't work with the DINC2.

I'm looking for a definitive answer. I've looked at the picutres of the port online and I cant tell for sure, but It looks like it has changed from the one on the original DINC. The cables have a different looking connector on the USB end.

I just switched to the DINC2 from the DINC1 on Sunday and I can verify without a doubt that the cable DOES NOT work with the DINC2. Even if it fit, from what I have researched, the DINC2 uses an entirely different protocol for video out and no cables have been made available yet.

Thanks for the info bigslam! I've been doing some searching on this and I've found these cables:
Droid TV Out, Micro USB to RCA Composite Video output cable, HTC 73H00348-00M: HTC Droid Incredible 2 6350/ HTC Incredible ADR6300 cell phone models HTC factory original Composite Video output cable has 3 RCA video connections to Micro USB
I'm hoping this is the real deal and not just an erroneous labeling of the original cable. It says that it is for the DINC2. It says that it's only for video (not sure why there's 3 RCA connectors unless it's RGB out?) and that audio has to be a separate cable from the 3.5 jack. Oh well, I can make that work well enough!

That's the same cable as the one referred to in the OP. I have it and it will NOT work. I have that cable & it has a modified micro usb port which only works on the DINC1. The DINC2 has a standard micro usb port. The reason there are 3 rca connectors is for (1) video & (2) left & right audio. I don't know how they figure using 3.5mm for audio.

The problem is the company posting the device. THey have kinda a poor history with fact checking. Quite a few times I have seen something on their site that says it will fit on multiple devices when they won't.

Bummer....
I was hoping there was some sort of solution.
I'll be careful and not order from that company though. Thanks!
I guess I'll look on eBay for a used DINC to use on the road.

If you're well informed on what you're looking for, sometimes they are a good deal. I usually do a search on the part number from their website & check it out on other websites if it looks questionable.

As far as getting a DINC1, that's what I had before the DINC2, so I loaded it up with a 32GB sd card & use it for a media player. It has a 6.6GB internal storage advantage over the DINC2 (which I use for videos), the only issue is you have to use apps like Astro FIle Manager to be able to access the files on the internal storage. Every video player I've tried doesn't recognize the 6.6GB internal storage.

I also keep the DINC1 as a backup phone.
