Direct message & Direct E-mail

On my phone (droid bionic) I am able to create shortcuts to the people I most often text and other shortcuts to the people I most often email through Gmail. I was hoping to be able to do this with ICS on my xoom, but I can't seem to figure out a way to do it. The folders on ICS are awesome! I would love to create a folder for the top 10 people I text and another for the top 10 people I E-mail. It's so nice to be able to have one click access to someone. Anyone have any ideas how to do this on ICS?

I found an app called Mail Linker. This does the direct e-mail that I wanted to do. Still looking for one that will work with texting.
