- why can't I totally uninstall Instagram?
- why is it when some apps are disabled, after X period (not sure of the timeframe), they are active again?

Thanks in advance.

Was it preinstalled? If so, it's bloatware, which usually can't be completely uninstalled. I'm sure Samsung and/or the carrier consider that a "feature" for your convenience and benefit.

If you ever Reset All App Preferences, that re-enables disabled apps--are you doing that?

And hey, I'm curious--how'd you get the "Distinguished" title under your avatar?:)

Yes, Instagram was preinstalled.
I've not performed a 'Reset All App Preferences'. Albeit, still weird.

Ah, I see! <salute>

Just to be sure, you are talking about going to the App Manager, selecting an app, and tapping the Disable button, right? Not just closing the app out of RAM.

Instagram was pre-installed because it is now available to be used in multi-window same with facebook...as for disabled apps becoming active again check your auto-update settings in the play store and your applications manager.

This what I use to disable apps permanently
