I take a lot of photos with my phone facing down, and the camera switches between portrait and landscape automatically. Is there anyway to lock it in portrait mode.

My "screen rotation" is off and my phone outside of the camera is locked in portrait mode.

Thanks

Hmm, that sure is a major set back but what you can do is just open the camera and goto the settings>shooting mode> and change it to the portrait. Now your camera is locked to the portrait mode and there isn't any need to turn your screen rotation off. But one more thing I think your pictures will look great in the landscape mode rather than the portrait mode. :D

Thank you Kelly. I have Android 4.3 and do not see that option. Is this available in 4.4 maybe?
