Disable LG G2 flashlight widget?

Does anyone know if there's a way to disable the flashlight widget? Maybe a bit over reactive, but after reading through the permissions; don't necessarily agree with this widget being able to take pictures and videos without my permission.

I imagine it needs it to turn on the flash LED.
