Disable update notification

Anybody have any idea on how to disable a service update notification? Using an S5 on T-mobile lollipop 5.0. I dont want to switch as I have no issues. Sadly i keep getting the notifications for these stupid updates that i do not want.

You can only get rid of these notifications if you root and install a ROM that will allow you to do so. Although the update will help with performance and security patches.

Have T-Mobile (USA) removed the stock Samsung, "Auto update", feature in Settings > About device >Software updates > Auto update (uncheck)?

Yeah i think they have. This is what my screen looks like. When i click on software updates this is what happens.

It looks like you can't even get into that screen because your WiFi is off. Turn on WiFi, connect to a hotspot, then try getting into those settings again.
