Can anyone tell me how to disable the front facing camera on the Galaxy S3 short of covering it with tape? Thank you.

I just use a bit of post-it paper. But not on the Nexus 5, if anyone's looking they deserve to see my ugly face. :p:D

How about a permanent marker?

So you've got a Nexus 5, yet your avatar is a jellybean? :p

Because I'm constantly turning it on by mistake and I have a body image disorder. So there is no way to actually disable it without covering the lens? Can I somehow cur the wire to the lens?

I *think* that if you're willing to disassemble the phone the camera module can be removed. Look on YouTube for videos that show how to replace the screen on an S3. Some of those may show how the front camera module is attached.

I don't know whether the OS might constantly report error messages because the camera isn't there, however, so I wouldn't permanently damage anything in case you need to put it back together.
