Disabling the Calendar

I wondered if anyone had to disable the HTC calendar app from within settings? I have it set now to not notify me of calendar events or display them but its simply annoying that if I manage to change a setting by accident (which is easy to do when you use the productivity lock screen) and then my Google calendar won't work properly.

Would disabling the calendar entirely affect any other calendar apps that are installed? I am assuming this will break the productivity lock screen also.

I'm not sure I follow what the problem is you are having. Can you elaborate with more detail please?
