Disappearing emails Samsung Galaxy SIII

Why do the incoming emails disappear after 2-3 days on a Samsung Galaxy 3.
Anyone else having this problem? Please confirm what may be problem

Possibly you have your email settings set to automatically delete a certain number of emails after a certain time has passed.
