There is not a phone in existence that has everything that you mentioned.
I agree that water resistance is a miss, but the rest I'm kinda meh about.
We're obviously not talking about on contract... Most people buy the Nexus phones (and now Pixels) off contract... So that isn't even apart of the discussion.
I am really torn between this an an LG V20. I wish the pixels were 64 gig instead of 32 for the given price.
Let's talk off contract then...given that it has been known that Verizon Would be selling it for some time before launch, I was not in the least surprised at the pricing. It falls in line with the pricing of other nexii offered by Verizon like the Galaxy nexus and nexus 6,both starting around $650 off contract.
This isn't to say that I am not disappointed in pricing, because I was hoping for a good bang for the buck nexus or pixel too, just that I didn't expect any less for a device being sold by Verizon.
Carrier lockdown is dumb. They should have went the Nexus route and made it like the N5 where it worked on all bands.
My S7 has all but the front facing speakers. You can even fix that with some cases. Honestly, it's not that much to ask for. I too initially thought, "Oh, here we go. Another always unhappy want-more guy." But really what he wants is basically a Google version of what Samsung already offers.
The S7 isn't cheaply made. The Pixel XL is higher priced than the Note 7 and we all know that the Note 7 adds more value adds... There is no point of buying these phones when their competitors in the same price range adds more features and some have more features for less. These phones are clearly overpriced... Deal with it.
You can't make a second speaker appear with a case.
The S7 also has all the wrong software on it.
For the record, I'll be carrying a Note 7 and Pixel (not XL) around as dailies for the foreseeable future.
And both are personal phones? Or would one or both be paid for by someone else?

That's an opinion about software, and the speaker can become front firing easily, though granted it's not stereo.
I was expecting that the Pixel will have 3GB RAM while the XL have 4GB, and I'm surprised that both have 4GB RAM.
I think the only downside of this phone is the bottom chin that is big and only housing a single bottom-firing speaker, so it's completely useless and makes the phone bigger for no reason.
I think it has the big chin for battery capacity.
