That stinks. Sucks Verizon can't stand behind their promises. One of the many reasons I left Verizon.

Be careful with unlocked devices on T-Mobile. I just left them because my service dropped off almost completely because I purchased an unlocked phone.

I had the unlocked V20 US version with tmobile and my signal strength and 4G LTE worked just fine.

Some definitely did but most complaints I'm seeing are people who got refunded and bill credits on top of it.. but still expect more.

My co-worker spoke to Verizon retentions and so far, they told him the same thing as maf113. He's so excited, but I told him don't get his hopes up too high just yet. They said they would send details and confirmation in next 24 - 48 hours. We shall see if it gets yanked back or not.

Well, my co-worker received his new Note 8. Surprised me because I didn't think Verizon was gonna follow thru, but they did. Call Verizon and ask for "Retentions". My co-worker called more than once and the last time was the charm.

That's exactly what my friend got! I guess the carriers will make some accommodations "individually" rather than for everyone in this situation. For those of you still stuck with a phone that's not paid off, call your carrier's main number, and ask for retentions. Obviously the carrier is the one who can make it all the way "RIGHT"!
