Some people got refunded and bill credits but got stuck with phones they did not want or didn't get their original phones back and on top of it lost their upgrade or Jump depending on the plan they had. Is that fair to the customer because of Samsung's mistake?
Not getting your original phone back and having to choose a different phone because of it, is the problem.
The second problem is a discount that isn't truly a discount right now.
No one got a free phone or feels entitled to a free phone. Personally, I got a refund for the N7 I had bought but had to get the LG V20 which I didn't WANT. Was promised $25 credit from TMob which was never received.
If you are going to give a discount, just give one or don't. But this bogus discount with a trade of whatever value they want to apply to the phone you send in, which doesn't apply to carriers customers? Helps how? and really who? Gimme a break.
People are just tired of being screwed by companies for their own profit meanwhile, the consumer is being left high and dry.
There are more horror stories all over this site than good stories of the N7.
People that are complaining are rightfully complaining without any entitlement involved when you read the stories carefully.
Thank the Lord I am keeping my S8+ and I still have my Jump upgrade left in case I wanted to go the N8 route. But I feel for those who can't upgrade, got stuck with a phone they didn't want, and was promised all sorts of things.
Samsung has a business to run and we as consumers our business is to protect our pockets. If that is a sense of entitlement so be it. IJS.
