I always wait a month before I start looking at my battery times this gives the phone time to totally settle as well as the battery.

My s20+ was making it to < 20% on a typical 18 hour day for me. The s23+ has been consistently 60-75%. I use Android Auto on the way to/from work (60min total). The s23+ barely gets warm when I use android auto where my s20+ would get very hot. I'm liking the better battery life.

Battery life has been stellar even with me cranking up the display quality (changed due to another thread). I can only hope some of the battery improvements rub off on the flip 5 as the flip is still my favorite daily driver device.

Nope this phone is still insane in battery life, with February patch, If anything it's even got better.

Was going to say the same ... although hard to tell because I just got the update yesterday morning. I had no complaints before the Feb update (except for 1 weird day), but I remember thinking to myself at one point yesterday evening that my battery level seemed pretty high for the time of night it was.

When you get used to battery life on the S23U and go to the fold 4 again. You see battery life not so good on fold 4 now. Down to 56% already. It's hard to believe the fold 3 was worse on battery life.

To compare to S23U, after 16.5 hours of using the phone I'm around 25%

I don't have any screen shots of what my SOT time is, however, I'm vacationing in Costa Rico Andi am getting phenomenal battery life with basically no 5g and just 4g or even 3g and wifi when I'm in an Airbnb. i can only imagine how it will be when I get back to New York.

Cold, gloomy, and run down looking! :p

So I've been testing WQHD resolution and impact on battery, it will have very small impact , keep your AOD schedule or tap to show it will reduce it some , here are results Screenshot_20230226_120031_Device%20care.jpg

I know many will disagree with my viewpoint, but I stopped worrying about batteries long ago. I just charge it when I need to and never skimp on performance.

I don't think they would disagree with you and make a good point

I don't. Why limp a phone, use it the way you want to. Sometimes battery optimization drives me crazy.

The S23U is the first phone I can make it thru the day without adding a charge to it during the day and I didn't change anything.

Yeah....I made it through a full day of heavy use with 25 percent left. Even if didn't though its easy enough for me to give it a bump or even a full charge.

Yeah, I have a hard time killing this battery as well. My wife and I play Pokemon Go and even with the game on and off for a 1.5 hour walk with a couple Gym Battles as well as spinning more pokestops than I can ever remember spinning in a day, I still had plenty of battery when I went to bed. Next time we do this, I'll screenshot my battery usage. I was just too tired to remember. lol!

I got the Anker 45W with Ankers 100W cable and when I plug mine in, it says Super Fast Charging 2.0.

Sent from my SM-S918U using AC Forums mobile app

Ours say super fast charging than goes away but my husband noticed under battery stats it says super fast charger connected. I am using the cable that came with my phone and a 45W Samsung brick and it charges pretty fast. I had a braided 100 watt long Anker cable that quit working. I liked it cause it was real long and my cats can't chew on it. LOL! It's weird but they always chewed up the white ones.
