Hi,
I am about buying the galaxy s7 and my friend told me that super amoled display burn-in unlike my LG's phone.
So i want to ask you- is there true reason to worry? Does it happen often?
Thank you

In a nut shell yes burn in with amoled does happen, can it happen on the S7 yes, will in happen in the life span of the phone ? that all depends on how you use it, like leaving the screen on for 24hrs a day with a static image will do it. But under normal use I don't think it is something you will need to worry about. I had my S3 for over 3 years and never had a burn in. I have had this since launch and have not heard of it happening . What is funny is I had a LG G3 and it got a dead pixels and a red haze after only owning it a year. So I think you should be fine.

The only time I've seen it is at stores where the same screen is on 24/7 and that's after several months of having the phone. You virtually have nothing to fear

Love for all things android and IT

I have owned multiple samsung devices and never had burn in. With that being said, if like others said you leave the screen on 24/7 at full brightness you will get it. Otherwise you shouldn't have to worry about it.

I've only seen burn in on a Note 3 we had on display in my store after 2 years.
