Today i had to take my phone to the sprint store because the speaker went out. As part of the troubleshooting process they hard reset the phone.

Before I took my phone to sprint: When i left my phone idle, the screen would dim and haptic buttons would go out after 30 seconds to a minute. Then about another minute would go by and the display shut completely off.

Now, the screen stays at max brightness and haptic buttons stay on until the screen goes out.

How do i get back the staggered screen power down? (Dim, then wait, then turn off) I have looked over all of the menus in the phone and can?t find anything.

Settings>Display. The ones you need are Screen timeout, and Keyboard timeout. To get what you had before, its probably this:
Screen timeout - 1 minute
Keyboard timeout - 30 seconds. And leave automatic brightness and power save mode off.

It sound like he wants his phone to dim. Doesn't that mean he wants to have powersaver and auto brightness on?

He's talking about the screen dimming, not lowering. Like, it dims if you don't touch it for 30 seconds, then turns off after another 30. Autobrightness and powersave mode, use more battery than they save, cause they constantly have to communicate with the phone.
