Display disappears during speaker call

I was on a speaker call and all was fine until the call ended. I had push the power button, unlock the screen then go to phone to end the call. Is this normal?

try wiping the top left of the screen because there might be a smudge over the sensor that recognizes with the screen is taken away from your face

good suggestion, but he's talking about speaker call... as in speakerphone - where the phone wouldn't be next to your face

yes this is normal... you can press the volume keys or the power/lock button to re activalte the screen to end the call... this is to save power..
