So I've been having any issue where the screen time out duration is not following the setting I chose. I have it set to 30secs but it's times out in 15. Any help would be great.

Is this happening after using your phone with your car infotainment system by means of Android Auto?

Nope i thought it was that though.
Then think of any other app you have installed that may reset the timeout setting. Android Auto automatically sets your display timeout to 15 secs and when you disconnect it doesn't reset it back to what it was. That's why I use Macrodroid app to restore the 2 minutes timeout I need. In the beginning the macro did not work, and the timeout was not changed as I wanted. I latter understood that I should insert a pause of a few seconds in the macro before I reset the timeout, in order to give the chance to Android Auto to shutdown completely. That helped and now Macrodroid is able to set the timeout as I want.
I just told you this story as an example of what can go wrong when trying to change a setting and when it looks like it's not working, that is, it can be a problem of wrong timing between an other app and you trying to reset the timeout.
What you say is that from the beginning, when the phone was new, you had this problem?
