I was hopeful that someone on the Forum with experience in Display Technology can answer my questions. With the advent of the 1080 HD Displays and Super LCD3 series or IPS Counterpart, is it technically possible for the Samsung OLED or FOLED Displays to compete in Brightness and Contrast with the others? such as the SuperLCD3 with a ppi of 468.
Also why do they never rate the Contrast Ratios of these Displays as they always do with the HDTV's.

There was a recent rumor regarding the S4 in regard to the Display stating they were not going to use the FOLED rather ther were using one of the newest IPS displays with a 460ppi 1080HD.
Would welcome some dialog to the above.

Thank you

I believe in Samsung that they always create masterpiece products. Can not wait the Solux screen!

If it's LCD-based then I would expect it to rival SLCD3 in terms of brightness and color reproduction.

It will be Pentile. And we will spend the next year hearing people try to justify how its actually ok and better in some areas.

The thing is pentile on my s3 is hard to notice and if it was pentile on the s4 at 440+ ppi its will be very very unnoticeable, if any noticeable at all.

Samoled - Colour/saturation
LCD - Brighter and more natural

Let's not forget how viewable in sunlight it is, outside a lot. I may be in the minority but I can sacrifice a little if it can be seen in sunlight
