First off, I'm not a Andriod hater in disguise looking to stir things up.
I bought a Xoom for my son who had been asking for an iPad. The Xoom's price point, memory, Honeycomb OS (with Ice Cream Sandwich coming) and concern that my son wouldn't really use it much (loves his PS3) were my reason for going with it vs. the iPad. My son is 11. He will be using it mostly for playing App and internet games, surfing the net and watching videos on You Tube.
I've been searching and loading games on the Xoom as I'm giving it to him for Christmas. I've been pretty dissappointed in the quantity of quality (graphics) game apps. I found another thread that listed these:
Gun Bros:
PES 2011:
Flight Control:
Worms:
X Construction:
Mini Squadron:
NFS Shift:
Pocket God:
Reckless Racing:
Fruit Ninja:
Doodle Jump:
TileStorm:
Glow Hockey:
Tank Hero:
Pinball Deluxe:
Slice It:
NinJump:
Rocket Bunnies:
While I judge most of these to fit my want for good video quality games I'm disappointed with the quantity. He has loaded 50+ free games on iPod Touch that all came for free and have great graphics. There are many more iGames that he hasn't loaded because he doesn't have the storage or the cost $0.99.
Is 18 games all that Android has to offer? I've looked and most of what I find have the graphics of an Atari game. Where do I find great games? I've looked on getjar, the Android Market and Amazon.
If this is all there is as I'm considering selling the Xoom on eBay and getting a refurb iPad.
